5510 Pir HT AA

Anti-jamming infrared detector

This device is a volumetric detector that detects an intruder moving within the protected area by capturing the typical parameters of a person, mainly the difference in temperature of the moving target compared to background temperature. It follows a reliable intruder detector, based on widely known and widespread technologies.

Application
Volumetric intrusion detection of large indoor areas extending to approximately 6x12 meters.

Installation
The lack of limitations due to wiring is useful to appropriately position the device which is of paramount importance for it to properly operate. Wall-mounted, possibly in a suitable corner of the buildings, at approximately a 2.2m height. Carefully perform the adjustments, which must be appropriate for the environment to be protected (PIR Sensitivity - Pulse Count - Temperature compensation - Anti-masking Exclusion - Forced removal protection exclusion- Led Exclusion).

Power Supply
3 AA 1.5V batteries. Battery life: approximately two years with standard use. Battery life considerably decreases in frequently used areas.

Tamper protection
Reports device being opened and detached from the wall.

Radio transmission
EU compliant Dual Band frequency operations. Range is suitable for device’s intended use.

Monitoring and Testing
When the device is open LED confirms detection at every human movement. When using an operating system the test take place by triggering an alarm and by verifying that signal is received by the control panel.

Features
The device is usually active and adjustments must be such to signal a person entering the protected building, after approximately three steps. To reduce power use, it trips after an alarm and only starts to detect again, after there is no movement in the environment for a few minutes. In addition to an intrusion alarm, the devices reports tampering and masking (excludible) as it occurs, its operating conditions (supervision)

and checks battery levels every 40 minutes. The control panel reports these signals following any arming and/or disarming operations.

Local signals
Pir HT AA has an alarm/test LED, which also signals low battery, by quickly flashing for a few seconds.
